Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Operate and monitor the ladle for transferring molten steel to the tundish in CCM.
  2. Check and maintain ladle preheating and lining condition.
  3. Coordinate with Melt Shop and CCM team for ladle movements.
  4. Follow SOPs for ladle preparation, drying, and availability.
  5. Conduct ladle inspection before and after each heat.
  6. Ensure safety protocols while handling hot metal and during emergency operations.
  7. Record operational data and report deviations to the shift in-charge.
  8. Assist in preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of ladle-related equipment.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a ladle operator in a steel plant (CCM unit).
  • ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Metallurgy preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ladle refractory, temperature control, and safety procedures.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a high-temperature environment.
  • Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
  • Safety-conscious and team-oriented attitude.
