Laboratory Technician

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Laboratory Technician to support our diagnostic and research operations by conducting laboratory tests, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate reporting of results. Based in the UAE, the ideal candidate will uphold quality standards and contribute to efficient lab functioning in a clinical or research environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and bodily fluids
2. Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation
3. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
4. Record, analyze, and interpret test results with high accuracy
5. Follow established procedures and safety protocols for specimen handling and waste disposal
6. Support quality control and quality assurance procedures in the lab
7. Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents
8. Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods or procedures
9. Collaborate with medical, technical, and research staff to ensure workflow efficiency
10. Ensure compliance with UAE health authority standards and laboratory regulations

Requirements

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field
2. Valid license or eligibility as a Laboratory Technician in the UAE
3. 2-4 years of laboratory experience in a clinical, diagnostic, or research setting
4. Proficient in laboratory techniques, instrumentation, and data interpretation
5. Familiarity with lab information systems (LIS) and reporting tools
6. Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety and hygiene standards
7. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment
8. Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
