Next Gen Alternative Nicotine Manufacturing Ltd in the UAE seeks an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to establish and manage the quality testing laboratory at our manufacturing facility. The role owns reliability, physical performance and e-liquid chemical testing activities ensuring every batch meets technical specifications before release.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of laboratory management experience in electronics manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Solid command of physical performance testing processes for electronic products; familiar with test data processing/analysis.
• Familiar with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management standards; disciplined data recording and report writing.
• Able to troubleshoot common laboratory equipment faults and manage calibration cycles.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to communicate test results and drive improvements.
• Working proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the quality testing laboratory, overseeing reliability, physical performance, and e-liquid chemical testing to ensure batch release meets specs.
• Lead lab setup, SOPs, equipment maintenance, preventative plans and 5S housekeeping.
• Supervise reliability testing including thermal, temperature cycling, vibration and drop testing.
• Perform incoming-material and in-process testing for critical parameters and ensure batch-to-batch consistency.
• Review and issue raw test records and formal reports; escalate risks and participate in root cause analysis.
• Manage calibration and verification of instruments; maintain traceability and test data validity.
• Train and coach technicians; ensure operations align with CNAS ISO IEC 17025 or equivalent.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Laboratory Supervisor to establish and manage the quality testing laboratory at our UAE manufacturing facility The role owns all reliability physical performance and e-liquid chemical testing activities ensuring every batch meets technical specifications before release

Key Responsibilities

• 1 Laboratory Setup Management Manage the day-to-day operation of the factory laboratory including workflow scheduling and 5S housekeeping Develop and continuously improve laboratory management procedures equipment operating instructions SOPs and preventive maintenance plans
• 2 Product Reliability Testing Lead and supervise reliability testing on finished and semi-finished products including but not limited to thermal shock high-low temperature cycling simulated transport vibration and drop testing Verify product stability and durability under extreme environmental and logistics conditions
• 3 Physical Performance Aerosol Testing Own aerosol vapour output testing draw resistance puff resistance testing and air-tightness leak testing of finished goods Confirm that puffing experience and anti-leakage performance conform to technical specifications
• 4 E-liquid Physical Chemical Analysis Perform incoming-material and in-process testing of critical parameters such as viscosity density and refractive index Ensure batch-to-batch consistency of e-liquid and prevent filling abnormalities on the production line
• 5 Test Reporting Quality Alerts Review approve and issue raw test records and formal test reports Escalate quality risks identified during testing to the Quality Manager and Engineering Department in a timely manner and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action
• 6 Equipment Calibration Asset Management Manage periodic calibration and verification of laboratory instruments temperature humidity chambers viscometers analytical balances testing machines etc Maintain calibration status traceability and records to guarantee the accuracy and legal validity of test data
• 7 Team Training Compliance Train coach and assess laboratory technicians enforce standardised operating practices Ensure the laboratory operates in line with CNAS ISO IEC 17025 or equivalent quality management system requirements

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or a related discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of laboratory management experience in the electronics manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Technical Skills: Solid command of physical performance testing processes for electronic products; familiar with the operating logic of environmental test equipment and with test data processing/analysis.
• Quality Mindset: Familiar with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management standards; disciplined data recording and report writing habits; high sensitivity to abnormal data and out-of-specification results.
• Instrument Maintenance: Able to independently troubleshoot common laboratory equipment faults; clear management logic for calibration cycles and preventive maintenance of precision instruments.
• Communication: Strong cross-functional collaboration skills; able to feed back test results objectively to Production and Engineering and drive improvement actions.
• Language: Working proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing); able to read test standards in English and write basic test reports in English.
• Personal Attributes: Honest and trustworthy, principled, and able to maintain objective and impartial judgement under pressure
