Job summary

American Hospital Dubai is seeking an experienced Labour and Delivery nurse to provide direct and indirect age-specific patient care within the unit. The role requires nursing assessment, care planning, intervention, and coordination per JCIA standards, along with collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe maternity care.

The nurse will manage documentation, equipment readiness, and mandatory education, while participating in unit CQI activities and ongoing education to maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Midwifery as listed, with required duration.
• Valid license/registration to practice in home country or last employment country.
• Minimum two years post-graduate Labour and Delivery experience.
• BLS or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific, patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Perform patient assessments and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain documentation and ensure equipment availability.
• Adhere to JCIA standards and mandatory education.
• Develop and implement care plans, monitor, and revise as needed.
• Handle narcotics and controlled substances according to policy.
• Participate in CQI activities and unit-based education.
