Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Network Engineer with 8-10 years of experience. You will act as a key escalation point for network-related issues, ensuring high availability and performance of critical systems. This position requires advanced expertise in network technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Network Support & Troubleshooting
    Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of network incidents escalated from L1 engineers.
    Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to routing, switching, VPNs, and firewalls across global locations.
    Support and troubleshoot WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, wireless networks, and MPLS circuits.
    Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or critical network issues, documenting findings and solutions.
  2. Network Monitoring & Maintenance
    Monitor network performance using tools such as PRTG to identify and resolve potential bottlenecks.
    Perform routine maintenance activities such as firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and patch management.
    Optimize network configurations to enhance performance, security, and reliability.
  3. Configuration & Implementation
    Configure and deploy network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
    Assist with global network expansion, redesign, or migration projects, ensuring minimal downtime.
    Manage VLANs, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and access control policies in a multi-site environment.
  4. Security & Compliance
    Implement and manage firewall policies, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems (IPS/IDS).
    Ensure the network aligns with security standards and complies with organizational and regulatory requirements.
    Perform periodic security checks and recommend necessary improvements.
  5. Documentation & Reporting
    Maintain updated documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.
    Prepare detailed reports on network performance, security audits, and incident trends.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Technical Expertise
    Extensive experience with enterprise networking equipment from vendors like Sonic wall, Aruba and Cisco.
    Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, VRF, and QoS.
    Hands-on experience with firewalls (e.g., Sonic wall, Fortinet) and VPN technologies.
    Knowledge of SD-WAN, wireless networking, and network segmentation in multi-location environments and countries.
    Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g. PRTG).
  2. Soft Skills
    Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    Excellent communication skills to coordinate with global teams and provide clear technical guidance.
    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setup.
    Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  3. Educational Qualifications & Certifications
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE (optional) or equivalent are mandatory.
