Job Title: Sr. L2 Infrastructure & IT Support Engineer

Role Summary

The IT Infrastructure Support Engineer (Level 2) will provide advanced technical support across network, server, and cloud infrastructure layers. The role involves leading and mentoring Level 1 engineers, ensuring secure and reliable IT operations, and supporting the IT roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2 technical support for network switches, firewalls, servers, storage, and backup/DR systems.
• Provision and maintain secure connectivity with external stakeholders through MPLS, VPNs, and secure gateways.
• Administer and monitor enterprise firewalls while implementing security best practices.
• Perform proactive system monitoring, health checks, and routine maintenance.
• Support and manage workloads on Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Own escalated incidents, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
• Mentor and guide Level 1 engineers to build team capability.
• Participate in IT roadmap planning, infrastructure upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
• Provide after-hours support and on-call assistance as required.
• Maintain accurate system and process documentation in line with IT governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Level-2 IT infrastructure support within the education or technology sector.
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification (mandatory).
• Professional certifications preferred: CCNP, MCSE, Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Fortinet.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and incident ownership skills.
• Solid experience with ITSM tools, and proven knowledge of incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
