Job Description of L1 NOC Network Security Engineer

Dicetek LLC is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented L1 NOC Network Security Engineer to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi. This role is vital in ensuring 24 / 7 monitoring and first-level support for our clients' network and security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network operations, incident handling, and basic troubleshooting of security incidents, ensuring optimal performance and system uptime.

Key Responsibilities of L1 NOC Network Security Engineer

Monitor network and security systems, responding to alerts and anomalies in real-time.

Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for network connectivity and security issues.

Escalate unresolved incidents to L2 / L3 teams with comprehensive documentation.

Execute routine operational tasks such as system health checks and log reviews.

Maintain accurate incident and change logs in the ticketing system.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and secure operations.

Stay updated with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in network security.

Qualification Required for L1 NOC Network Security Engineer

Experience : 3+ years of experience in large industry monitoring network and security operations.

Technical Skills : Experience in troubleshooting Network / Security devices Switches, routers, firewall, Load balancer, MPLS link, WAN links etc.

Monitoring Tools : Experience with network and security monitoring tools (SolarWinds) and incident management systems (ServiceNow).

Troubleshooting : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting on network and security issues.

Communication : Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document and explain technical issues clearly.

Certifications : CISCO CCNA / Security or equivalent, Solarwinds certifications are preferred.
