Job Scope

We are seeking a technically skilled and dependable L1 IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational knowledge in networking, Windows system troubleshooting, Active Directory management, printer support, and virtual machine handling. This role also includes responsibilities related to ensuring system uptime, backups, and business continuity. Availability to provide support at any time during the day is essential with a maximum resolution time of 1 hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level technical support for employee issues, including hardware, software, and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, routers, internet).
  • Handle essential Windows computer troubleshooting including system services and user issues.
  • Provide support for printers (installation, network configuration, and issue resolution).
  • Manage and monitor virtual machines and servers to ensure performance and security.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, including user account management, password resets, group policy checks, and permissions handling.
  • Support backup plans, disaster recovery strategies, and high availability solutions.
  • Document support procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions.
  • Stay available for urgent support needs at any time of the day.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support or related technical role.
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
  • Proficient in Windows system and service troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory: managing users, groups, policies, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with printer hardware and network printing setups.
  • Experience with virtual machine platforms (VMware, etc.).
  • Familiarity with backup solutions and business continuity planning.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must be available for support beyond regular business hours when needed.
