Job summary

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a experienced KYC and Onboarding professional in the UAE to oversee Know-Your-Customer reviews for new and ongoing clients. You will ensure regulatory alignment and coordinate onboarding approvals with cross-functional teams, compliance, and coverage banks.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of AML/KYC standards, funds/brokers/corporate clients, and global regulatory environments. Strong documentation, communication, and risk assessment skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a reputable international bank.
• Minimum 5 years in On-boarding, KYC or Compliance functions.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines.
• Understanding of Funds, Brokers, Money Services Business, Loans & Agencies, and Correspondent Banks.
• Operating in a global regulatory environment.
• Microsoft applications knowledge.
• Pro-active and business oriented with ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.

Responsibilities

• Manage approval process for New to Bank Onboarding, Periodic & Trigger Reviews with stakeholders.
• Review account opening forms / MT messages for new business.
• Engage with Coverage Bankers to align on business case and client selection.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Perform independent analysis of high-risk factors and escalate to FCC as needed.
• Prioritize work and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely case processing.
• Review Wolfsberg questionnaires and AML/Sanctions considerations.
• Develop and manage relationships with Corporate and Investment Banking stakeholders.
• Deliver MI reporting for On-boarding & KYC and maintain trackers.
