Job summary

GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha in Dubai seeks a passionate KS5 English Teacher to join from August 2027. You will deliver English lessons across KS5, including A Level exposure, under the GEMS British curriculum framework.

The school offers outstanding facilities and a strong track record, with opportunities to contribute to enrichment programs and the wider school community. An appropriate teaching qualification and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English or a relevant subject with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English at secondary level, with the ability to teach KS5 English.
• Experience delivering A Level English Language or Literature would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and examination requirements at KS5.
• Ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons that develop students' analytical, written communication and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching enabling students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.

• A Bachelor's degree in English or a relevant subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching English at secondary level, with the ability to teach KS5 English.
