GEMS Metropole School – Al Waha in Dubai is seeking an outstanding Geography Teacher to join from August 2027. You will deliver high-quality Geography lessons across secondary to KS5, contributing to a growing British curriculum community.

Located in the Al Waha area, the school provides exceptional facilities and aims to inspire confident, curious learners through an innovative curriculum, alongside safeguarding and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or relevant subject with teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Geography at secondary level, KS5 capable.
• Experience delivering A Level Geography would be advantageous.
• Understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and KS5 exam requirements.
• Able to deliver engaging lessons developing geographical knowledge, critical thinking, analytical and research skills.
• Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning enabling students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues and parents.
• Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities.

Skills and Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Geography or a relevant subject, together with a recognised teaching qualification.


• Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Geography at secondary level, with the ability to teach KS5 Geography.


• Experience delivering A Level Geography would be advantageous.


• A strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment and examination requirements at KS5.


• The ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons that develop students' geographical knowledge, critical thinking, analytical and research skills.


• A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, enabling students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
