• Escort customers to their tables.
• Describe how various menu items are prepared, defining ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Educate clients on specials and promotions.
• Prepare checks detailing dish costs and sales tax.
• Present menus to customers and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations on request.
• Clear dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleansing.
• Serve food and/or beverages to patrons; prepare and serve at tables as called for.
• Stock service areas with materials such as food, tableware, and linens.
• Submit inventory and sales records.
• Coordinate with location supervisor, manager, and head office.
