A leading hospitality company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a maintenance technician to carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen and laundry equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment malfunctions, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has a diploma in engineering and 2–3 years of relevant experience in a hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Job description
Overview

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on all kitchen and laundry equipment, including dishwashers, ovens, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, and ironing systems.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from the Kitchen, Laundry, and other departments, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, replacing defective parts as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with hotel and local regulations.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment status.
  • Assist in energy-saving initiatives by ensuring equipment is properly maintained for optimal efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for specialized repairs or spare parts procurement when required.
  • Support the Engineering team in other maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Uphold Accor and Fairmont service standards while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Engineering (or related technical field).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in maintaining kitchen and / or laundry equipment, preferably in a hospitality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.
