We are seeking a skilled and reliable Kitchen Equipment Technician to install, maintain, and repair a wide range of commercial kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of commercial kitchen operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all kitchen equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and service disruption.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, refrigerators, and mixers.
- Diagnose malfunctions and determine appropriate repair or replacement of parts.
- Install new equipment and ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service, maintenance, and repairs.
- Respond to emergency service calls promptly and professionally.
- Work closely with kitchen and operations staff to understand equipment issues and minimize operational impact.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Recommend upgrades, replacements, or preventive maintenance plans to minimize future downtime.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, or appliance repair preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen or commercial equipment maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems as they relate to kitchen equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen brands and models (e.g., Hobart, Vulcan, True, Rational).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Need a valid UAE Driving license as well.
