Overview

The Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen appliances and systems. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, steamers, dishwashers, refrigerators, and ice machines.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to avoid equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and perform troubleshooting on electrical and gas-powered appliances.
• Replace worn or defective parts and calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of service requests, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to emergency repair calls and support during special events or peak hours.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to provide guidance on proper equipment usage and care.
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and supplies.
