Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai is seeking a Kids Club Attendant to join our Kids Club Team. You will participate in daily operations, craft engaging activities, and uphold the highest standards of safety and guest satisfaction within a luxury hotel environment.

The role requires a valid child-care certification, 2+ years in a 5-star hotel Kids Club, and strong English communication. Arabic/Russian language skills are a plus and overseas regional experience is advantageous.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Kids Club of a 5-star hotel.
• Clear communication; fluent in English; Arabic and/or Russian a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the smooth running of the Little Nomads Kids Club department to achieve guest satisfaction.
• Create new activities drawing on local cultural or sporting offerings to differentiate the hotel’s kids club.
• Be knowledgeable about all kids club products and services and lead health and safety compliance.
• Lead the implementation of safety codes and ensure the care of children.
• Execute and monitor the Little Nomads activities programme.
• Maintain safe environments and use proper safety techniques.

As a Kids Club Attendant, you will be responsible for:

• Participate in the smooth running of the Little Nomads Kids Club department on a day to day basis to achieve the highest possible levels of guest satisfaction.
• Create new, unique and interesting activities that draw upon the best cultural, sporting or other offerings of the area in which the hotel is located. Help make the kids club offering a point of competitive advantage for the hotel. Ensure outsourced service provides maintenance standards.
• To have a complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel, and in particular all the kids club activities in the hotel.
• To lead the implementation of all health and safety codes and in particular to take full and complete care of children.
• Execution of the Little Nomads activities programme.
• Ensure that all activities are performed in a safe environment using proper safety techniques.
• Use qualified attendants in all areas where relevant qualifications are required, i.e. Lifeguard.
• Monitor the success of the activities programs through the number of participants per scheduled event and through guests’ feedback. Make necessary adjustments to maintain top quality, fun filled and original programs for hotel guests and kids.
• Prepare and circulate clear information to guests of the events offered by the hotel in conjunction with Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai Concierge.
• Work closely to promote our Spa offering to ensure that we maximize guest satisfaction and hotel revenue by enabling our guests to experience our spa.
• Keep all equipment clean and well maintained in the kid’s club.
• Develop and maintain a strong working environment with the other departments.
• Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting of charging fees for the kid’s club
• Drive revenues for the department.

As a Kids Club Attendant, We Expect From You

• Relevant and valid child-care certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Kids Club of a 5-star hotel.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East Region is an advantage.
• Ability to understand guest needs and expectations and to deliver superior customer service.
• Perform job with attention to details and the ability to organize and handle multiple tasks effectively.
• Clear communication; effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Speaking Arabic and Russian is an advantage.
