Description
This position is responsible for developing relationships and business with key hospitals, buying groups, and Health Authorities, and is to be recognized as a trusted advisor by Healthcare decision makers in the UAE market. This role will contribute significantly to the success of Governmental Local Purchase Orders by leveraging all MS resources to maximize sales at target hospitals. The individual will be the lead negotiator to secure institutional contracts and develop the Institutional plan of action.
Executive & Technical Duties
- Building and developing relationships with Hospital Administrators and Pharmacy Directors with the following core responsibilities:
- Customer Value Creation: Uncover key value drivers in UAE Institutions and pursue mutually beneficial initiatives to attain a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Strategic Account Planning: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop a cross-functional, customer-focused account plan. Identify specific tactics with timelines and ambitious goals.
- Account Implementation: Develop retail sales by leveraging account-wide value adds and negotiating hospital and buying group contracts. Make strategic decisions to maximize MS Pharma’s profitability.
- Carry out field visits to governmental hospitals regularly, according to schedules and specific plans, aiming to secure purchases from competitors.
- Understand the account’s strategic plan for the year and long-term goals. Build a deep understanding of the competitive environment, industry trends, and the evolution of the healthcare system, and how these impact the customer. Decipher the motivators of key decision makers.
- Develop differentiated offerings that enhance patient care and advance institutional goals. Use existing value propositions strategically and drive innovative customer value initiatives.
- Work effectively across the organization, leveraging resources such as market access, finance, business intelligence, medical, sales, and marketing. Foster internal collaborations to attract additional resources.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Intelligence teams to identify customer needs and develop approaches for optimal territory coverage.
- Stay current on company policies, procedures, and relevant industry matters.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws and policies, maintaining necessary records and reports.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Education
B.Sc. in Pharmacy or a related field.
Experience
3 - 7 years of relevant experience.
Language
Proficiency in written, read, and spoken Arabic and English.
