Your Purpose

As our Key Account Manager for Retail MENA, you'll lead the growth of our retail business across multiple markets through efficient distribution management and a sharp commercial mindset. You'll work cross-functionally with McCain teams and local distributors to drive volume, profitability, and market share, all while building solid customer partnerships and delivering on execution excellence.

Where You'll Work

  • Region: MENA (Middle East & North Africa)
  • Travel: Regular across key markets
  • Reporting to: Retail Director MENA
  • Languages: Arabic & English fluency required

What You'll Do

Retail Strategy & Growth

  • Build and execute strategic retail plans per market, in line with business goals
  • Align local distributor teams with McCain's ambitions and performance KPIs

Distributor & Partner Leadership

  • Own and lead the relationship with distributors (RTM model)
  • Conduct robust business reviews on targets, stock levels, sell-in support, and activations
  • Ensure strong alignment with channel and brand marketing

Key Account Management

  • Develop advanced partnerships with top regional retailers
  • Identify new opportunities (PL, category expansion, regional deals, new models)
  • Support trade marketing execution: POS tools, promotions, activations

Sales Operations & Forecasting

  • Collaborate with demand planning and distributors on accurate forecasting
  • Monitor IMS, stock levels, and ensure timely order management
  • Follow up on payment terms, A/R, and credit management in coordination with finance

Market Intelligence

  • Track category trends, shopper behaviour, and competitor activities
  • Report business insights and market risks across MENA

What You Bring

  • University degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 57 years experience in FMCG sales (preferably in food/Retail/Distributor-led markets)
  • Fluency in Arabic & English (written and spoken)
  • Commercial sharpness able to manage P&L drivers, margins, and forecast accuracy
  • Excellent stakeholder management both internal and external
  • A structured yet entrepreneurial mindset: strategic thinking meets hands-on execution
  • Willingness to travel across the region
