Job description

JOB PURPOSE

Drive parts business for Daimler trucks, vans and buses to achieve set annual parts targets and customer satisfaction objectives. Focus and maintain relationship with key accounts and government entities held by EMC CV business. Develop overall business by maintaining and improving existing customers and also by developing additional accounts with commercial vehicle customers within the territorial area.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Calculate, promote and manage contracts ensuring maximum penetration percentage in the market. Manage all contracts and parts warranty to ensure costs are to a minimum.
  • Sales: Understand customers’ requirements and identify opportunities to maximize department’s profitability through parts and associated products while actively reducing expenditure where possible.
  • Performance Management: Create a performance management culture through dashboard reporting and KPI management. Set targets, monitor, track and review actual performance of each department and subdepartment vs. target using various daily, monthly, quarterly performance reports ensuring targets are fully met and exceeded.
  • Fleet Account Management: Visit fleet customers to promote company’s reputation by building and maintaining business relationships. Provide technical support, when required in order to resolve any ongoing fleet customer’s product complaints. Report reoccurring problems to the both EMC & Daimler’s After Sales department for resolution.
  • Customer Service & Retention: In line with the Automotive division and Principal's guidelines, implement customer retention strategy by executing new ideas to retain customer. Analyze customer satisfaction survey results, understand the root causes and ensure actions are in place, to proactively manage the customer expectations.
  • Team Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, coach, counsel, provide support and necessary tools. Create and ensure implementation of training plans and programs to enable team to accomplish their tasks efficiently. Coordinate with the HR department/ senior manager for recruitment (internal/external) as required.
  • Key Accounts Manager: will be operating in a dynamic environment and closely working with parts sales team, fleet owners and Government bodies for Daimler Commercial Vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5 – 6 years of minimum experience in automotive management industry within commercial vehicles/ heavy duty vehicles; out of which 2 years should be on Managerial level.
