The Position
You will be responsible for providing an excellent and consistent level of service to your customers. The Technician is responsible for assisting in the smooth and efficient operation of the Engineering Department, supporting all other departments, and maintaining hotel equipment to the highest standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the PPM Engineer regarding daily work progress.
- Perform assignments on the Preventive Maintenance Programme for guest rooms.
- Conduct general maintenance in guestrooms and public areas.
- Report severe damages to your supervisor.
- Repair minor fixtures such as doors, locks, latches, and windows in guest rooms.
- Perform general plumbing maintenance and repairs.
- Carry out bathroom grouting and silicon filling in guest rooms.
- Perform minor painting and polishing on walls and furniture.
- Service electrical DBs in rooms, replace fused bulbs, and clean lamps.
- Clean FCU filters and service units as necessary.
- Complete all tasks listed in the preventive maintenance checklist.
- Assist other engineering staff with preventive maintenance when required.
- Provide professional, engaging, and friendly service.
- Manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ensure high-quality completion of all jobs with the desired finish.
- Ensure all necessary materials are available before starting work.
- Follow all safety rules and departmental procedures.
- Maintain documentation of completed work and tasks, available for review.
- Maintain cleanliness at the work site and after job completion.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uniform, especially in guest areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma, Trade Certificate, or apprenticeship in general maintenance.
- Previous hotel experience is preferred.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
