Job summary

Yas Heat Racing – Karting Division is seeking an experienced Kart Racing Technical Manager to lead the full technical operations of its high-performance karting program.

You will oversee maintenance, testing, race operations, and develop standards for engines, chassis, and components, acting as technical authority for IAME and ROTAX platforms. Strong leadership and communication with drivers, coaches, and management are essential to deliver race-winning performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in competitive kart racing at national and/or international level.
• Proven leadership experience within a motorsport technical environment.
• Advanced expertise in IAME and ROTAX engine platforms and lifecycle management.
• Deep understanding of chassis setup, performance optimization, and race engineering.
• Strong familiarity with UAE karting circuits and racing conditions.
• Excellent technical and managerial communication skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
• UAE driving license (Category 3 / Category 5) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all technical operations across workshop, testing, training, and race environments.
• Establish and enforce technical preparation standards for all kart categories.
• Ensure maximum reliability, performance, and consistency across the kart fleet.
• Act as the technical authority for IAME and ROTAX engine platforms, including performance optimization and rebuild strategies.
• Manage engine allocation, compliance, lifecycle tracking, and reliability programs.
• Develop structured performance enhancement processes for engines, chassis, and components.
• Supervise and mentor senior and junior mechanics, ensuring technical discipline and operational excellence.
• Manage workshop operations, inventory control, tooling, spares strategy, and technical readiness.
• Collaborate with drivers and coaching staff to transform feedback into measurable performance improvements.
• Lead technical decision-making on setup changes, troubleshooting, and race-day support.
• Ensure compliance with FIA Karting technical regulations and scrutineering requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation, setup records, and performance data logs.
• Drive innovation, process improvement, and long-term technical development strategies.

The role will be responsible for the technical performance, reliability, and operational execution of all karting assets across multiple categories and chassis platforms. The successful candidate will serve as the technical authority within the team, ensuring all aspects of the karting program are delivered to the highest professional and race-winning standards.

About the Role

As the Kart Racing Technical Manager, you will lead all technical functions across maintenance, testing, training, and race operations. You will work closely with team management, coaches, mechanics, drivers, and key stakeholders to optimize performance, maintain technical excellence, and drive continuous improvement across the entire karting operation.
