Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Preparator with daily activities such as preparing drawings and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).
  2. Identify jobs, prepare drawings, and update the department database for records against defined work specifications and tenders.
  3. Provide daily updates to the preparatory team and supervisor, aligned with updates in ERP systems (Mariner or equivalent) for spools, supports, and joint details.
  4. Requisition materials and follow up on procurement. Verify material quantities against defined MTOs, considering size, grade, and quantities.
  5. Estimate man-hours according to the agreed tariff and submit for project supervision review.
  6. Provide final job descriptions to the invoicer for man-hour updates.
  7. Document sailed projects following departmental documentation procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
  1. Good working knowledge of ASME rules, AutoCAD, and material grades.
  2. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
  3. Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  4. Experience with AutoCAD 2D/3D and SmartPlant Isometrics.
  5. 2-3 years of experience in a similar industry or 5 years in a shipyard environment.
