Job Description

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed shop drawings using Tekla Structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and architects to understand design intent, facilitating effective communication throughout the detailing process.
• Generate and maintain bill of materials (BOM) and material take-offs, ensuring all components are accounted for in the project documentation.
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ascertain detailing requirements and resolve discrepancies.
• Implement changes and updates to drawings as required, maintaining version control to ensure all team members are working with the latest information.
• Prepare comprehensive fabrication drawings and assembly instructions that facilitate seamless construction and installation workflows.
• Conduct clash detection and resolution processes within the model to identify and mitigate potential conflicts before construction begins.
• Participate in project meetings, providing insights on detailing progress and addressing any technical challenges that may arise.
• Utilize Tekla Structures’ advanced features, such as custom components and templates, to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
• Ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets by managing workload effectively and prioritizing tasks according to project demands.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field, providing a solid foundation in design principles.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural detailing, with a strong focus on steel and concrete structures in commercial or industrial settings.
• Proven experience working with international building codes and standards, ensuring compliance in diverse project environments.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, with additional language skills being an advantage for global project collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling effective resolution of complex detailing challenges during the design phase.
• Excellent communication skills, fostering collaboration between team members, clients, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating adaptability in dynamic and fast-paced project environments.
