A Junior Sous Chef (Indian Specialty) is responsible for contributing to menu creation, managing, and training the kitchen brigade to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while managing food cost controls.

What will I be doing?

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will contribute to menu creation, manage, and train the kitchen brigade to ensure a well-organized and motivated team, and manage food cost controls. Your specific responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating strong experience as a butcher and in preparing Indian curries, with experience handling banquet kitchens
  • Contributing to menu creation
  • Managing and training the kitchen team effectively
  • Ensuring consistency in dish quality
  • Managing customer relations in the absence of the Junior Sous Chef
  • Managing resources effectively through work rota planning
  • Supporting brand standards through team training and assessment
  • Controlling food costs to contribute to revenue
  • Understanding activities in other departments and their implications
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety standards
