Job Description:

Junior SCADA Deisgn Engineer

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior SCADA Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to develop SCADA Designs for transportation and Tunnels Projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Assist in the development of SCADA system architecture and design concepts for Tunnels and Transportation Projects.

- Support the preparation of key design documents, including:

  • I/O lists and tag databases

  • SCADA system layout diagrams

  • Functional Design Specifications (FDS)

  • Alarm lists and basic HMI screen layouts

  • Tunnels Security and Traffic Systems integration

  • SCADA System Communications Infrastructure

  • Control Rooms and Virtual SCADA Data Centers

- Collaborate with senior engineers to define system requirements and communication interfaces with PLCs, RTUs, and instrumentation devices.

- Participate in the development and review of engineering drawings and documentation.

- Support implementation activities such as configuration, testing, and commissioning under supervision (if required).

-Help maintain document version control, revision tracking, and design database updates.

-Coordinate with internal teams such as instrumentation, control, and IT for technical alignment.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SCADA system design or implementation for Industrial, Buildings or Transportation Applications

  • Basic understanding of SCADA system structure, automation principles, and communication protocols.

  • Familiarity with engineering documentation standards and structured technical workflows.

  • Exposure to industrial automation environments, ideally in utilities or infrastructure sectors.

- Experience working with engineering teams on design or integration of - SCADA/automation systems.

- Familiarity with basic HMI principles and alarm design philosophy.

- Awareness of industry standards
