The candidate must have experience conducting the initial site survey, reviewing and addressing tender documents, submittals, and correspondences, coordinating with the design team to examine existing and suggested initial draft drawings, and preparing a detailed bill of quantities in accordance with the company's pricing methodology and formats. Coordination to obtain back-up prices from local and international suppliers in accordance with the Design Concepts and Tender Requirements. Should have a connection to current suppliers and participate in the pursuit of new suppliers, as well as verify the delivery schedule, payment, and material specifications of the backup quotation. Collaborating with pertinent teams and subcontractors to ascertain the quantity from the drawings and with the design team to guarantee that the bill of quantities (BOQ) accurately depicts the design concept.
The primary responsibility will be conducting preliminary and comprehensive estimations for MEP and interior projects, which includes site and pre-bid meetings. Responsibilities include:
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the architecture or fit-out sectors.
• A valid and certified university degree (attested) in engineering, with a specialization in either civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• Comprehension of the fit-out process, labor costs, and building materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost estimation tools for financial analysis.
• Proven communication and negotiation skills.
• The ability to manage numerous duties concurrently and meticulous attention to detail.
• Prior experience with industrial and commercial fit-out projects is advantageous.
