Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai seeks a detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to support subcontractor payment processing, quantity verification, and documentation across ongoing building projects. The ideal candidate will have strong measurement skills, good commercial awareness, and the ability to coordinate effectively with site teams and subcontractors.

You will conduct quantity take-offs, review invoices, coordinate with site engineers for joint measurements, and assist in preparing variation claims,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management.
• Minimum 2 years GCC experience in Building projects with subcontractor coordination exposure.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings.
• Proficiency in measurement, take-offs, and progress verification.
• Familiarity with Plan Swift, AutoCAD, and advanced Excel.
• Basic understanding of construction materials, market rates, and contractual frameworks (FIDIC).
• Strong communication skills for dealing with subcontractors, project managers, and site teams.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in calculations and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & verify subcontractor payment applications based on drawings, site progress, and BOQ quantities.
• Conduct quantity take-offs for architectural and structural components using standards.
• Review subcontractor invoices, compare with site progress, and highlight discrepancies.
• Coordinate with site engineers for joint measurements and progress confirmation.
• Assist in preparing variation claims, re-measurements, and updated cost summaries.
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, approvals, correspondence, and payment logs.
• Support cost control activities by monitoring subcontractor budgets and commitments.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms, project specifications, and FIDIC principles.

Desired Candidate Profile
