Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor (Civil) to support our tendering and estimation activities across both infrastructure and building projects. The role involves assisting in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for residential, commercial, high-rise, and infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, bridges, drainage, etc.). The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing tender documents, BOQs, cost estimates, and submissions for both infrastructure and building projects.
  • Review and analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify project scope, requirements, and risks.
  • Conduct accurate quantity take-offs from design, tender, and construction drawings.
  • Collect and compile rates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors for tendering purposes.
  • Evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Procurement, and Tender teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of estimates.
  • Maintain and update cost data, price records, and historical databases for use in future tenders.
  • Prepare tender clarifications, queries, and correspondence with clients/consultants.
  • Support the senior QS and Tender manager in finalizing and submitting tenders.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards throughout all tendering activities.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in both infrastructure and building tendering.
  • Good understanding of construction methods, civil works, and building codes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of AutoCAD, Candy, or similar QS/tendering software is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
