A leading supply chain company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Supply Chain Manager responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of raw materials and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in SAP. This role also involves maintaining inventory controls and collaborating with the procurement department.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• Post-Graduation preferable.
• MBA preferable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous supply of Raw Materials and Engineering Maintenance spares.
• Monitor cost reduction targets as part of the improvement process.
• Coordinate with Plant Manager for technical supplies.
• Manage inventory control with the stores department.

SCOPE

Ensuring Supply of Raw materials, Devising Cost reduction measures, vendor development, Quality Control.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Entire Responsibility of continuous supply of Raw Materials, Engineering Maintenance spares, consumables, Inventory stock items in line with quality requirements from AGSI Approved list of suppliers to ensure smooth operations of plant.
• Cost Reduction targets all commodities to be followed up as a part of continuous Improvement process.
• Vendor Development & VQR / VDR monitoring in line with AGSI Quality & EHSMS norms (Includes vendor registration, approval & monitoring for new supplier).
• Critical supplier monitoring based on Product commodities Wise ABC Analysis
• Day to Day co-ordination with Plant Manager to procure technically correct supplies with close interactions with user department.
• Cost meeting reports on monthly basis including No of PR converted to PO‘s Buyer wise details, Cost Reductions achieved –Department report, List of New suppliers introduced, Value engineering for Spare parts development for monopolistic products.
• Inventory controls management in coordination with the stores department.
• Purchase order status Report to TOP Management -. Monthly basis.
• Supplier payment issues in co-ordination with A/c department.
• Ensure Import purchases in line with INCO TERMS.
• Exercise JIT for shorter lead time commodities.
• Establish Best credit facilities with suppliers in ordination with A/c department.
• Setting up Best Quality Policy for the Purchase Department through Operation Manual for Purchase Department.
• Setting up transparent Purchase practices in the department with standard supply chain principles.
