Junior Procurement Executive - UAE
Job description
- Assist in the preparation and execution of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings, focusing on quality, price, and delivery terms.
- Support the negotiation of contracts and agreements, helping to secure favorable terms for the company.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier communications and order statuses, for transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with internal teams, such as finance and logistics, to ensure seamless procurement processes and timely deliveries.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in demand forecasting to prevent stock shortages and optimize purchasing decisions.
- Participate in supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure alignment with company quality standards.
- Assist in managing supplier relationships, addressing issues, and fostering collaboration for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement strategies and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is essential.
- Min 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain roles, ideally within the UAE market.
- Experience in the UAE market, with a strong understanding of local suppliers and regulations, is a significant advantage.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus for effective communication.
- Strong analytical skills to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions in procurement processes.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, alongside Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple procurement tasks efficiently.
