Job summary

Cobblestone Energy is seeking a highly capable quantitative analyst to support trading teams. You will develop and refine strategies, analyse market fundamentals, and build forecasting models to drive informed decisions.

You will also prepare market summaries, dashboards, and presentations, monitor real-time signals, and create AI-driven workflows to automate data collection and reporting. Fluency in English is required for collaboration across teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative disciplines.
• Exposure to Python, C++, or Java.
• Proficiency in using AI tools to convert unstructured market signals into structured insights.
• Experience creating small automations or scripts to eliminate manual tasks.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms and computational thinking.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Support traders to develop and refine trading strategies.
• Analyse market fundamentals including supply, demand, pricing behaviour, flows and regulatory updates.
• Build and maintain forecasting models to support short term or long term market views.
• Prepare clear market summaries, dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Monitor real time news, fundamentals and data to inform daily trading decisions.
• Build and maintain personal AI-driven workflows to scrape, summarise, and structure market news.
• Automate dashboard updates using Python or low-code AI tools.
• Collaborate with trading, risk and analytics teams to support commercial objectives.
• Contribute to research on trading and hedging opportunities.
• Assist in creating analytical tools and market views in partnership with data scientists.
