Job summary

Leading international law firm in Dubai seeks a Construction Lawyer to join its disputes team. The role targets newly qualified to junior lawyers developing a contentious construction practice involving high-value disputes across the GCC, for contractors, developers and employers.

Key responsibilities include handling arbitration, litigation and adjudication; advising on EPC contracts and related documents; supporting strategy, risk assessment and case prep; and liaising with experts and clients

Qualifications

  • Qualified lawyer with up to 2 years' PQE in contentious construction or construction disputes.
  • Experience with arbitration, litigation or adjudication in construction/infrastructure sectors.
  • Good understanding of EPC and FIDIC-based contracts.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
  • Commercially aware with strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Motivated, collaborative and keen to develop a career in a leading disputes practice.
  • Excellent academic credentials with genuine interest in construction law and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with a broad range of contentious construction and infrastructure disputes, including arbitration, litigation and adjudication.
  • Advising and assisting clients on contractual disputes arising from EPC contracts, construction agreements and related project documentation.
  • Supporting dispute resolution strategy, including risk assessment, case preparation and document review.
  • Working on large-scale, high-value construction and infrastructure disputes across the region.
  • Supporting partners and senior lawyers on major arbitration and court proceedings.
  • Liaising with experts, counsel and clients throughout the dispute lifecycle.
  • Developing technical knowledge of construction contracts, dispute resolution procedures and industry-specific issues.

Construction Lawyer – Contentious (NQ-2 PQE)

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented and driven Construction Lawyer to join its highly regarded disputes team in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified to junior lawyer to develop their contentious construction practice, working on high-value, complex construction and infrastructure disputes across the GCC, acting for major contractors, developers and employers on contentious matters.

Key Responsibilities:
