JUNIOR INFORMATION MANAGER - TRANSPORTATION

AtkinsR alis is looking for a Junior Information Manager in Dubai, UAE.

This person will be carrying out a mix of functions that span from internal process improvements to supporting construction project delivery supervision. The successful candidate should be a people, process and technology focused individual whose main duty will be to ensure that the project delivery team(s) adhere to agreed standards and best industry methodologies. The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal/bids and project delivery tasks.

Education and experience:

  1. Bachelor's/master's degree in architectural or civil engineering and 5+ years experience in AEC industry, minimum 2 years experience in Middle East region.
  2. Minimum 2 years experience in digital delivery of complex, multidisciplinary project (Information Management/BIM).
  3. Software certification such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Synchro, Fuzor etc. is desirable.
  4. Information Management certification by a relevant institution e.g. BRE, Operam Academy, RICS etc is desirable.
  5. Good knowledge of LOD 300-500 industry standard.
  6. Contractor's experience is advantageous with an understanding of driving project digital delivery from design, construction to handover stage.
  7. Demonstrable experience of working with various stakeholders (such as but not limited to contractors, consultants, PMCs, vendors and clients).
  8. A good understanding of the data, information management including compliance to ISO 19650 standards.
  9. Sound knowledge in engineering design and in assisting engineering disciplines in with Self/Inter and Multi-disciplinary design coordination and quality compliance.
  10. Good knowledge of authoring tools from key software vendors such as Autodesk, Bentley, Rhino, Trimble in delivery of multi-disciplinary projects.
  11. Proficient knowledge of model federation and design co-ordination platforms such as Navisworks, BIM Track or Revizto for performing tasks like clash management, model walkthroughs, issue tracking and management.
  12. Proficient knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) such as ACC, BIM360, ASITE or ProjectWise.
  13. Good knowledge of data visualization/analytics platforms such as PowerBI.
  14. Knowledge of automation tools such as Dynamo is desirable.
  15. Knowledge of information management uses such as construction sequencing (4D), quantity take-offs (5D), extended reality (VR+AR).
  16. A grounded understanding of construction quality processes.
  17. Demonstrable ability to develop technical documentation for Information Management.
  18. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  19. Well versed in coordination and collaboration with all stakeholders.
  20. Proficient in problem-solving and critical thinking.
  21. Must have developed Information Management documents e.g. Pre- and Post-BEP, federation strategy, Level Of Information Need, responsibility matrix etc.
  22. Understanding of MIDP/TIDP is a must.
  23. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering principles and spatial coordination.

Job duties:

  1. As a Junior Information Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that digital content is created, stored and published using the latest technologies and best practices in line with the Contract(s).
  2. Ensure internal and external capability and capacity processes are implemented and followed.
  3. Help in administering the CDE and support project team in its utilization as directed by the Information Manager.
  4. Undertake the functions of effective information management as part of the project management team in accordance with ISO 19650 and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle, where AtkinsRealis are either the Lead Appointed Party or an Appointed Party.
  5. Support auditing task teams in the delivery of their Task Information Delivery Plans, to meet the Appointing Parties Requirements as directed by the Information Manager.
  6. Have a solid understanding of construction processes.
  7. Support strategic AtkinsRealis global and regional digital initiatives.
  8. Support annual ISO 19650 certification maintenance process.
  9. Support the Information Manager(s) in line with the business RACI matrix.
  10. Have a good understanding of point-cloud data for as-built model preparation.
  11. Have thorough understanding of tasks related to QA/QC of LOD 400-500 construction models.
  12. Oversee development of information management uses such as construction sequencing (4D), quantity take-offs (5D), extended reality (VR+AR).
  13. Support COBie, Uniclass and Masterclass implementation.
  14. Support the supervision of the strategic planning to produce asset information model (AIM) with the related O&M data.
