Job description

Junior Finance Business Partner - Reports to: COO

Role Summary

Under COO supervision, you oversee accounting services for a portfolio of clients and help your team meet billing and collection targets. You provide accurate reporting, support decision-making, and contribute to client satisfaction and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Relations & Delivery

  • Act as primary point of contact for clients, manage client communications and service delivery.
  • Help with financial setup, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Participate in client meetings, networking, and proposal preparation.
  • Ensure work is completed within scope and on time, and profitability is met.
  • Attend networking events and contribute to business development.

2. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, and reports.
  • Support clients in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Analyse financial data, costs, and variances.
  • Monitor time tracking and advise on adjustments when needed.
  • Review and verify the accounting work completed by the team, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and connect with other teams when needed.

3. Team Supervision

  • Guide and support your team in task completion and development, track hours.
  • Support onboarding, timesheet management, and team compliance.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and assess training needs.
  • Conduct formal performance reviews.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • BS/MA in Finance, Accounting or Economics. CPA/CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in finance, incl. 1+ year in the Middle East.

Skills

  • Strong accounting and financial analysis background.
  • Familiar with multiple accounting systems and UAE regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Effective communicator and team leader.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and adaptable.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
