Purpose of the position

As a Junior Environmental Engineer, you will be part of the HSE/Environmental Department. You will support the implementation of environmental management systems and ensure compliance across project activities, both offshore and onshore. You will collaborate with project teams to promote sustainable practices and reduce environmental impacts in accordance with local regulations and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for assigned projects.
• Monitor project compliance with environmental legislation, ADNOC Code of Practice, and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001).
• Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and site inspections.
• Support waste management, spill prevention, and pollution control activities.
• Collect and analyze environmental data (air quality, noise, waste, water discharge) and prepare compliance reports.
• Maintain records for audits and environmental reporting (internal and external).
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with Saipem’s environmental policies.
• Participate in incident investigations related to environmental issues.
• Promote environmental awareness among site personnel through toolbox talks and training sessions.

What are we looking for?

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Background: Initial experience in environmental engineering
• Languages: Fluent in English
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 14001 and environmental management systems.
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring and reporting requirements.
• Understanding of ADNOC and UAE environmental regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office and environmental data analysis tools.
