Job Description
- Review RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, and specifications from clients and government agencies. Analyze project requirements and scope of work in coordination with design and execution teams.
- Develop complete process designs for water and wastewater treatment systems with various water sources.
- Create comprehensive technical proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects (RO, UF, MBR, STP, WTP, ETP, etc.).
- Prepare BOQs, select equipment, and outline system designs based on client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with tender specifications and local regulations.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs, and estimate material, equipment, and labor costs.
- Coordinate with vendors/subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Prepare detailed cost sheets and pricing for bid approval.
- Compile technical and commercial bid documentation as per tender requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of complete bid packages, including compliance statements, forms, and schedules.
- Support clarifications, technical presentations, and contract negotiations as needed.
- Track bid status and update management on progress.
- Maintain a database of proposal templates, pricing history, and vendor contacts.
- Knowledge of detailed engineering is an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in preparing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.
Additional Information
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in preparing proposals for water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Familiarity with technologies such as SWRO, UF, MBBR, MBR, DAF, clarifiers, etc.
- Good knowledge of project estimation, pricing, and tendering processes.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Skills & Professional Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of local tendering practices in UAE/GCC is advantageous.
- Strong documentation and database management skills.
- Fluent in English.
