Job summary

Gloria Jeans in Dubai is seeking a Junior Demand Planner to support planning and optimization of product flow throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that the right product reaches the right store, at the right time, and in the right quantities.

You will work closely with Buying, Logistics, Retail and Distribution teams to maximize availability, monitor stock levels, analyze performance, and prepare regular reports using Excel and Power BI to guide distribution decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in Demand Planning, Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Distribution, or Retail Planning preferred.
• Fluent English required; Russian is a plus.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a structured problem-solving approach.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel; Power BI or similar tools desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end sales cycle management, monitor stock and sales throughout the season.
• Manage outbound distribution to stores according to business needs.
• Monitor inbound deliveries and coordinate with Logistics to minimize delays.
• Plan and coordinate shipments to stores, ensuring timely delivery.
• Develop seasonal distribution strategies based on product lifecycle and store needs.

Junior Demand Planner

The Junior Demand Planner is responsible for supporting the planning and optimization of product flow throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that the right product reaches the right store, at the right time, and in the right quantities. The role works closely with the Buying, Logistics, Retail, and Distribution teams to maximize product availability, optimize stock levels, and support sales performance across the store network.

This position requires a highly analytical and proactive approach, with a strong understanding of retail dynamics, stock management, product distribution, and sales performance. The Junior Demand Planner will play an important role in identifying distribution opportunities, monitoring product and store performance, and ensuring timely actions throughout each seasonal collection.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end sales cycle management, monitoring product performance, stock levels, and sales throughout the season.
• Manage and monitor outbound distribution, ensuring products are allocated and dispatched to stores according to business needs.
• Closely monitor inbound deliveries, identifying potential delays and coordinating with Logistics to minimize their impact on store availability.
• Plan and coordinate shipments to stores, ensuring the right products are delivered at the right moment.
• Support the development of seasonal distribution strategies, taking into consideration product lifecycle, sales performance, stock levels, and store needs.
• Conduct regular product follow-up, analyzing stock and sales performance and identifying opportunities for redistribution or reinforcement.
• Conduct store follow-up, monitoring stock coverage, sales performance, and product availability across the store network.
• Perform size analysis to ensure the appropriate size mix is available according to store and product requirements.
• Closely monitor deliveries and remain proactive in identifying and escalating logistics delays or potential supply gaps.
• Work closely with the Buying Team, helping them understand time-to-market requirements, minimum units per store, and distribution implications when planning new collections.
• Analyze potential sales and stock gaps across stores and identify opportunities to improve product availability and collection performance.
• Support the analysis and execution of the core distribution principle: sending the right product to the right store, at the right time, in the right quantities.
• Prepare and maintain the Retail Calendar, coordinating key distribution and commercial milestones throughout the season.
• Support distribution actions, including stock reinforcements, stock transfers, and consolidation, based on product and store performance.
• Support core distribution functions, including first allocation and replenishment, ensuring efficient product flow across the store network.
• Prepare regular reports and analysis using Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools to support business and distribution decisions.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities and proactively communicate recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between Buying, Logistics, Distribution, Retail, and Planning.

Requirements

• Previous experience or internship in Demand Planning, Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Supply Chain, Distribution, or Retail Planning is preferred.
• Fluent English is required.
• Russian is a plus.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or other data visualization and analytical tools is highly desirable.
• Strong interest in fashion retail, merchandising, inventory management, and product distribution.
• Ability to work with large datasets and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
