Job description

The Junior Copywriter will support the creation of engaging written content across digital, print, and social media platforms for a variety of marketing campaigns. Based in a dynamic UAE-based marketing or in-house brand environment, this role involves crafting compelling copy that resonates with target audiences while aligning with brand voice and cultural relevance in the region. The Junior Copywriter will collaborate closely with senior creatives, marketing managers, and designers to ensure all messaging is consistent, impactful, and compliant with UAE advertising standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Writing clear, creative, and culturally appropriate copy for advertisements, social media posts, websites, brochures, and email campaigns.
  2. Assisting in brainstorming sessions and contributing fresh ideas for content strategies and marketing concepts.
  3. Editing and proofreading content to ensure grammatical accuracy, brand alignment, and adherence to UAE advertising guidelines.
  4. Collaborating with graphic designers and senior copywriters to produce cohesive, high-quality campaign materials.
  5. Conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and local market preferences to inform writing style and content tone.
  6. Supporting SEO and digital content efforts by writing optimized website copy and meta descriptions.
  7. Adapting global campaign content to fit the cultural context and language nuances of the UAE audience.
  8. Meeting multiple project deadlines and managing feedback in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  2. 0-2 years of copywriting experience, preferably in an agency or digital marketing environment.
  3. Strong writing, editing, and research skills with attention to tone, clarity, and audience relevance.
  4. Familiarity with content marketing principles and digital copywriting techniques.
  5. Basic knowledge of SEO best practices is a plus.
  6. Understanding of UAE cultural and linguistic sensitivities in advertising and public communication.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and content collaboration tools such as Google Workspace.
