Overview

Job Summary:

The Junior Compliance Assistant supports the day-to-day administration of Copart’s on-going compliance, AML, and Know Your Customer diligence and monitoring program in the Middle East, with guidance from Copart Global Ethics & Compliance.

Responsibilities
  • The primary focus of the role will be to provide research and analysis that enables Copart to monitor and track usage of its platform, and assist in detecting and assess potential legal, compliance, and financial risks posed to the company. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, and writing skills. Conduct database screening searches and review and escalate any search results generated from such screening;
  • Review and decision alerts generated by Copart Global Ethics & Compliance’s transaction monitoring controls.
  • Perform in-depth investigative research utilizing internal and external data.
  • Stay abreast of industry standards and developments related to anti-money laundering laws and global sanctions laws.
  • Create and maintain, with guidance from Copart Global Ethics & Compliance, clear documentation related to operational processes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of seniority.
  • Assist with compliance-related IT projects, primarily related to enhancing anti-money laundering processes;
  • Assist with other compliance projects as the need arises.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four year college degree or local equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of professional working experience preferably in a legal, compliance, or finance setting.
