Job summary

Pathos Communications plc (LON: NEWS) seeks a developer to translate product ideas into precise PRDs and specifications, with AI-driven implementation. You will guide AI agents to build Pressella and internal tools, decompose work, write prompts, review results, and ship features.

You will also design agent workflows, evals, guardrails, and CI to ensure robust systems that scale. The role emphasizes clean coding, rigorous testing, and ongoing improvements with a strong focus on quality and safe

Qualifications

Solid fundamentals in Python or TypeScript and an ability to read unfamiliar code.
Real experience driving development with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).
Clear writer: specs, commit messages, incident notes; writing is a core part of the job.
Comfort with cloud (GCP preferred) and Git; experience with TDD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Turn ideas into PRDs and specs; AI handles implementation, the spec is the engineering.
Direct AI agents to build Pressella and internal tools; decompose, write prompts, review outputs, ship.
Build the systems that build software: agent workflows, evals, guardrails, CI.
Own quality: review code you didn't write, debug production, ensure safer releases.
