Job summary

Maseera in Dubai is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to support daily financial operations under the Senior Manager. The role focuses on accurate recording of transactions and ledger maintenance to ensure timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has an accounting education and 1–3 years of related experience, good command of English, and proficiency with Excel and accounting software. UAE VAT knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with accounting software and MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of UAE VAT and tax regulations is an advantage.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally in accounting and taxation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate accounting records.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of financial statements, reports, and management accounts.
• Assist with VAT calculations, tax documentation, and other tax-related activities.
• Maintain proper filing and organization of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and maintained in accordance with company policies and applicable UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and assist the Account and Tax Senior Manager with additional accounting tasks as required.
