Job summary

Woopel in Sharjah is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. You will assist with daily financial transactions, prepare basic reports, and maintain accurate records.

This role is ideal for someone starting their career in accounting and eager to learn. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, strong numerical and analytical abilities, proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills in English (knowledge of Malayalam is a plus).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
• Prepare and process invoices and payments
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Assist with monthly and yearly financial reports
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Monitor budgetary control measures and report any discrepancies
• Assist with audits as needed
