Job Title: Accountant Construction & Marble Industry

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic team in the construction and marble industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting within the construction or manufacturing sector, with a strong understanding of project-based accounting and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management: Oversee and manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Project Accounting: Monitor and report on financial performance of construction and marble projects, ensuring proper allocation of costs, expenses, and revenues.
• Cost Control: Track and analyze project costs, identify discrepancies, and assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable tax regulations in Dubai, preparing necessary returns and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date.
• Audit Coordination: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for daily operations, including liaising with banks and financial institutions.
• Financial Analysis: Provide regular financial analysis and advice to senior management to support decision-making and business strategy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor&aposs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus).
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or marble industry.
• Strong understanding of construction and project-based accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of local UAE tax regulations (VAT) and accounting standards (IFRS).
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with BIM or project management software related to construction.
• Experience in marble industry accounting and inventory management.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
