Job summary

Prakash Trading Company (PTC) in Dubai is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team, supporting daily accounting in the MEP/building materials sector.

You will assist with records, vendor invoices, payments, VAT filing, and month-end processes, collaborating with senior staff to ensure accurate documentation and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Relevant experience and strong MS Excel skills are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum two years of accounting experience in MEP/building materials preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Understanding of UAE financial regulations and VAT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records and reports.
• Verify LPOs, GRNs and Delivery Notes of Vendors.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and timely.
• Assist with Petty Cash payments and reconciliation.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with senior accountants and internal departments to ensure proper financial documentation.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with audits and MIS reporting as required.
• Assist with VAT filing and year end Corporate Tax Filing.
