Job summary

Dawn Consultancy in Dubai is seeking a Junior Accountant to support our accounting and bookkeeping team in Business Bay. You will work under the Manager, Accounting and Bookkeeping on a portfolio of client companies across mainland and free zone jurisdictions.

The role requires a bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, up to two years of accounting experience (fresh graduates welcome). Proficiency with Excel and software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or Tally is preferred; UAE

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or Tally.
• Good Excel skills and comfort working with volume without losing accuracy.
• Basic awareness of UAE VAT is an advantage but will be taught.
• Reliable, organised and willing to ask when something is unclear.

Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day transactions in client accounting systems.
• Assist with bank, receivable and payable reconciliations.
• Organise and file source documents, invoices and receipts so records are inspection-ready.
• Prepare supporting schedules for monthly management accounts.
• Assist with VAT return preparation and the underlying data checks.
• Support the senior team during year-end and audit preparation.
• Communicate with client contacts to obtain missing documents.
