Job summary

Dawn Consultancy in Dubai is seeking an Accountant to join the accounting and bookkeeping team in Business Bay. You will manage day-to-day books for multiple client entities and perform reconciliations, VAT returns, and year-end support for audits.

The role requires a bachelor degree in accounting or related field, 2–4 years of experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks/Xero/Zoho Books/Tally with strong Excel and IFRS knowledge. Monday-Saturday schedule, on-site in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce, or equivalent
• Proficiency with IFRS foundations and double-entry bookkeeping
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software
• Sound knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance
• Excellent written English and attention to deadlines

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books for a portfolio of client companies across mainland and free zone jurisdictions
• Perform bank, receivable and payable reconciliations and resolve differences
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules on an IFRS basis
• Prepare and file VAT returns and maintain records for FTA
• Assist with Corporate Tax computations, registration and return filing
• Prepare payroll and WPS files where required
• Prepare year-end files and supporting documentation for audit
• Deal directly with client finance contacts on queries and document requests

Dawn Consultancy (DC Accountants & Consultants LLC) is a UAE professional services firm providing audit, accounting, tax and corporate services to mainland and free zone companies. We are hiring an Accountant to join our accounting and bookkeeping team in Business Bay, Dubai, working across a portfolio of client entities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day books for a portfolio of client companies across mainland and free zone jurisdictions
• Perform bank, receivable and payable reconciliations and resolve differences
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules on an IFRS basis
• Prepare and file VAT returns and maintain the supporting records required by the Federal Tax Authority
• Assist with Corporate Tax computations, registration and return filing
• Prepare payroll and WPS files where required
• Prepare year-end files and supporting documentation for audit
• Deal directly with client finance contacts on queries and document requests

What we are looking for

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce; part-qualified ACCA, CA, CMA or CPA is an advantage
• Two to four years of accounting experience; experience within an accounting or audit practice handling multiple clients is preferred
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, Tally or similar, and strong Excel skills
• Sound understanding of IFRS and double-entry fundamentals
• Accuracy, ownership of deadlines and clear written English
• Working week: Monday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
