Job summary

A leading company in Dubai is seeking an accountant to manage financial transactions, ensure accurate records, and assist in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a degree in accounting, and advanced Excel capabilities. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior accountants and contribute to various accounting projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills and sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including PivotTables and Vlookup.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

Job description

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
• Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
• Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
• Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
• Assist with other accounting projects

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical skills, sound understanding of accounting principles
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including but not limited to PivotTables and Vlookup.
• SAP / ZOHO Books / Tally is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor s degree in accounting or equivalent
