Job description

Job Title: Junior Accountant

Department: Finance

Reports To: Finance Manager

Working Location: Abu Dhabi

Key Responsibilities:

· Maintain daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable and general ledger entries

· Reconcile all the bank accounts of the company including debit and credit cards on a daily basis

· Manage client invoicing in line with contract terms, including milestone-based or recurring billing models

· Issuance of receipts to customers for collections received

· Issuance of client Statement of Account upon request

· Receiving of vendor invoices and supporting documents, and post in the company’s accounting system

· Prepare vendor payments and ensure timely payments to suppliers

· Reconcile inter-company transactions regularly

· Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules

· Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or issues

· Support month-end and year-end close processes

· Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

· Ensure compliance with VAT, corporate tax, and other UAE financial regulations applicable to the company

· Assist with audits and provide required documentation to internal/external auditors

· Liaise with other departments and stakeholders, where required

· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

· CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.

· 2–5 years of experience in general accounting, preferably within the IT or Technology sector.

· Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

· Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Zoho Books.
