Job description

A leading after school learning center is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Academic Counselor to join our team. As a Junior Academic Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to students and their families, helping them to achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized academic counseling to students and their families
  • Assess students’ academic strengths and weaknesses and develop personalized action plans
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide an optimal learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians
  • Assist with college and career counseling, including college applications and scholarship search
  • Organize and conduct workshops and seminars on academic and test-taking strategies


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic counseling
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
