Job summary

Julphar is seeking a procurement specialist to manage indirect procurement for CAPEX/OPEX and services in Ras Al Khaimah. You will source suppliers, create POs, track deliveries, and ensure timely payments while maintaining supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree and at least two years in the pharmaceutical sector, with experience in SAP Ariba being an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 2 years of experience in pharmaceuticals industry.
• Experience with procurement software; SAP Ariba is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage indirect procurement for CAPEX, OPEX, services and related business requirements.
• From supplier sourcing and PO creation through delivery follow-up and vendor payment.
• Check daily released purchase requisitions for assigned departments; send supplier inquiries and obtain quotations.
• Negotiate purchase terms and evaluate supplier performance; attach documents in SAP before PO creation.
• Update SAP with delivery and order-status information and coordinate with Finance to clear payments.
• Support cross-functional departments and ensure compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and HSE policies.

Job description

The position is responsible for manage indirect procurement for CAPEX, OPEX, services, and related business requirements, from supplier sourcing and purchase-order creation through delivery follow-up and vendor payment. Check daily released purchase requisitions for assigned departments. Send supplier enquiries, obtain quotations, and create purchase orders. Review previous procurement prices for repeat orders. Ensure purchased products and services meet required specifications. Negotiate purchase terms and evaluate supplier performance. Prepare comparative statements and obtain manager approvals. Attach supporting documents in SAP before purchase-order creation and release. Follow up deliveries and resolve supply issues or discrepancies. Coordinate with Finance to clear vendor payments on time. Maintain supplier relationships and communicate with internal stakeholders. Manage freight finalization, MOH approvals, freight-forwarder nominations, pre-alert documents, and shipment clearance where applicable. Update SAP with delivery, shipping-document, and order-status information. Support cross-functional departments and business requirements. Follow company procedures, regulatory standards, ISO 14001:2015, and HSE policies. Report hazards, non-conformities, and environmental issues and support continual improvement.
